David Lee is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of ValueRock Realty Partners. Over the years, Lee's reputation as a creative and visionary leader has been supported by strategic and well-timed investment moves. Lee and his management team members have successfully been involved in over $30 billion of transactions.

Lee's experience in the investment arena includes founding a retail property operating company, a financial services company advising ultra-high net worth families, a real estate private equity firm, and a real estate investment advisory firm.

Lee committed significant personal resources as well as his own capital to build ValueRock Realty Partners into a world-class institutional-quality investment platform. This vertically- integrated real estate company operates a two million square foot plus portfolio of retail and mixed-use properties located throughout the Western US including Hawaii. In Hawaii, ValueRock is one of the largest private owners of grocery-anchored retail shopping centers.

 Under Lee's direction, ValueRock Realty Partners provides extraordinary investment performance for its investors. During the last 20 years despite a challenging landscape, the firm completed a number of successful transactions including the acquisition of large individual retail properties as well as portfolios of high-quality, grocery anchored centers. The firm's investment performance has been driven by discipline, focus, in-depth market research and critical investment timing. Lee demonstrated discipline and foresight by disposing of much of its portfolio between 2005 and 2006. He then patiently waited on the sidelines from 2007 to 2010 while the market remained unstable. This keen investment instinct and expertise created an impeccable track record of investment success. Under Lee's guidance, the firm has never given a property back to a financial institution and has no legacy assets.

Some of his recent transactions included the acquisition and aggregation of one-million-plus square feet of premium grocery-anchored centers located in the Western U.S. The firm also completed the highly profitable acquisition and resale of a West Coast retail portfolio of 15 properties in less than fifteen months during the peak of the recent recession in 2009. Lee earned a bachelor's degree In Finance with an emphasis in Real Estate from the University of Southern California. He began his commercial real estate career in 1989. By the time he was 30, Lee and his partners had been involved with over 20 properties as principals. By the age of 40, Lee had been involved with over 100 principal transactions, enhancing his instinct and discipline for critical investment timing.

Today, Lee's work extends well beyond his business success to benefit the community at large. Some of the charities and organizations supported by Lee and his firms include: Ford's Theatre, Casa for children, Vista Del Mar, Prentice School, Boys and Girls Club, Canyon Acres Children and Family Services, Children of the Nations, Dyslexia awareness organization, and Susan G Komen, among many others.
